History: McLean Citizens Association Opposed Expansion of Mt. Daniel

******Update:  McLean Citizens Association has updated their 2232 Review of the Mt. Daniel Expansion in response to the June 29, 2016 FCCPS amended 2232 application that reduced the proposed number of classrooms by 2 to 30 and student enrollment by 44 students to 660. Current enrollment is 348. McLean Citizens Association formally opposed the proposed expansion of Mt. Clarification: The City & School Audits are Misrepresented

There is no Internal Audit for either entity by Ira Kaylin Ira Kaylin is a former City Council Member and, among other positions, was the Internal Auditor of the Inter-American Development Bank. Mt. Daniel Community Meeting – Thursday, Nov. 12th‏

Mount Daniel Update from FCCPS On November 12th at 7:00 pm at Mt. Daniel Elementary citizens will have an opportunity to discuss the results of the recent Wells+ Associates traffic study, to discuss the process involved in a Special Exception Application, and to share potential revisions to the plan and timeline. Both Fairfax County and Falls Church City residents will need to work carefully to consider the issues associated with the Special Exception. Mt. Daniel Update – Not a good prognosis

Mount Daniel Construction Update – from FCCPS Morning Announcements November 2, 2015 On Monday, October 26, members of the Falls Church School Board, staff and members of the construction, traffic, and architecture firms met with Fairfax Planning Commissioner John Ulfelder, County staff, and a Fairfax County Attorney to discuss the results of the recent Wells + Associates traffic study and to present plans and other 2232-related graphics requested by Planning Commissioners.
