In an event held at the National Press Club in Washington, DC today, Educators for Excellence (E4E), a teacher-led organization, released results from their ground-breaking national survey of our country’s public school educators. Entitled Voices from the Classroom: A Survey of America’s Educators.
“Designed by teachers, for teachers, the scientific, nationally representative survey captures crucial insight on the views of public school educators across the country on a wide variety of issues impacting students and the profession, including: economic security, teacher leadership, teacher voice beyond the classroom, school safety and discipline, accountability and school choice” states a press release issued by Educators for Excellent.
This short video was shown today as a lead in to the presentation of the national results.
Information of the survey can be found on the Educators for Excellence website.
1000 educators from across the country participated in the survey and the 118 page report can be downloaded here.
The entire press release can be read here.
Many teachers are not as fortunate to have the opportunity to work in a district such as Falls Church City Public Schools where resources are not an issue as it is in other areas.
Consider re-posting and sharing this story to honor the work of these dedicated educators and help their voices be heard. It continues the conversation so we might learn how we can work together and find common ground to help educators everywhere secure what they need to serve children, not just in Falls Church, but all across the country!
